Athlete Agreement and Code of Conduct
As the national governing body, USA Climbing is (among many other things) responsible for developing elite athletes with the goal of winning medals in the Olympic Games and other international competitions. As part of that mission, USA Climbing has developed an Athlete Agreement program to support athletes who have demonstrated the capability to be elite international athletes with the potential to win medals in international competition.

USOC Athlete Ombudsman
If the Athlete has any questions about his/her rights and responsibilities under this agreement, feel free to contact the USOC Athlete Ombudsman at 719-866-5000 or firstname.lastname@example.org. You may also refer to the USOC Policy Regarding NGB Athlete Agreements at https://www.teamusa.org/Footer/Legal/Other-Documents.
For more information about the Athlete Ombudsman, visit their webpage.
Recognizing the importance of a level playing field for all athletes, USA Climbing members are now subject to anti-doping rules and responsibilities under the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) Code.
All participants will be subject to drug testing in and out-of-competition, and it’s important for athletes to know that they will be held responsible for any prohibited substances found in their system. To better avoid prohibited substances, athletes can use GlobalDRO.com to check the prohibited status of their medications and medication ingredients and visit Supplement411.org to learn how to recognize and reduce the risks related to supplement use.
Remember, all athletes are subject to testing, and failure to comply with testing could result in an anti-doping rule violation. For questions about anti-doping, please don't hesitate to call USADA’s Athlete Express line at (866) 601-2632.
For more resources on anti-doping, please visit USADA's website.
