Region 62

 Welcome to the Youth Region 62 page. Region 62 is one of two regions that make up Division 6 and includes Michigan, Ohio, West Virginia, part of Pennsylvania, part of Indiana and part of Maryland and one county of Kentucky. Region 61 is the other region in our Division and includes North Dakota, South Dekota, Nebraska, Minnesota, Iowa, Wisconsin, and part of Illinois.

Join the Youth Region 62 Facebook Group for updates, information on Youth competitions and photos. If you are looking for updates on the Collegiate series, join the Collegiate Heartland Division Facebook Group.

Tentative Schedule for 2020 Virtual QE's

 These events are still awaiting final approval, but the dates will remain constant and are being provided for your scheduling convenience.  Some events may be removed for various reasons depending on host facility conditions.  To fully register, the Kaya Link will be provided and at that point it is a sanctioned event.  If you have any questions you can reach us by email (region62@usaclimbing.org) or on the Region 62 Facebook page.

NOTICE REGARDING SAFESPORT TRAINING FOR YOUTH COMPETITORS

All competitors who will be 18 years of age or older on August 31, 2021 MUST complete SafeSport training.  Any of the above-mentioned competitors who has not successfully completed the SafeSport training will have their membership in a "pending" status and will not be eligible to compete at any USAC events, including but not limited to, qualifier competitions.

SafeSport Training is initiated through the Sport80 membership system at https://usaclimbing.sport80.com.

Competitors are strongly encouraged to complete SafeSport training as soon as possible as the training takes approximately 90 minutes to complete. If you have any questions please contact bree@usaclimbing.org

2020-2021 SEASON

We strongly recommend that you register for each comp as early as possible. Youth competitors are required to compete in a minimum of one USA Climbing sanctioned qualifier competition for each discipline they wish to compete in and will be awarded rank points based on place at those competitions. More information below.

 

 

 


I have revised the local schedule with the following changes:
-Added a local on 9/7 for Cliffhangers in Mooresville, NC
-Clarified that the 9/14 Inner Peaks local will be held at their South Point location
-Added a local on 10/26 for Climb Murfreesboro as a modified redpoint

-Corrected the name of the regionals gym to Climb Murfreesboro
