Registration for the 2018 USA Climbing: Bouldering Open & Citizens’ National Championships will go live on January 1, 2018.
USA Climbing: Bouldering Open National Championships Registration Information
Athletes are eligible to compete in the Open National Championship provided:
- They are 16 years of age or older by December 31, 2018 and
- Have purchased a USAC Membership no later than the registration deadline for the Open National Championship, and
- They have met at least one of the following eligibility requirements:
Are reigning U.S. National Champion(s), Pan American Champion(s), and/or World Champion(s) in Bouldering, or the “Overall;”
For U.S. Citizen competitors only, competed in the semi-final round of the Open Bouldering National Championship in the previous season.
Are ranked in the top one hundred (100), based on the Bouldering Season Open National Ranking after the final National Cup Series competition;
* If fewer than 100 competitors are ranked in the top 100 after the final National Cup Series competition, additional Open competitors who competed in a National Cup Series competition but did not receive ranking points (i.e. did not finish 30th or higher), may also be eligible to compete at the Bouldering Open National Championship.
USA Climbing: Citizens’ National Championship Registration Information
USA Climbing invited athletes of all ages and abilities to compete in the Citizens’ National Championship. Competitors will be separated into gender and skill-based categories, including: Junior, Youth-A, Youth-B, Youth-C, Youth-D, Recreational, Intermediate, Advanced, Open, Masters and Adaptive. In addition to climbing, Citizens’ National Championship Competitors will receive a commemorative event t-shirt and one spectator ticket to all rounds of Open Nationals competition.
Non-USA Climbing Members will be required to buy a 2017-2018 USA Climbing Competitor Membership during the registration process, or will be required to purchase a $10 DAY-Member pass online the day of the competition (as early as the Monday before, but no later than the end of the competition).
