USA Climbing to Host Back-to-Back IFSC World Cups

USA Climbing is excited to share that we will be hosting two IFSC World Cups in 2021. The International Federation of Sport Climbing (IFSC) announced on December 15th, 2020 that Salt Lake City, Utah will host a Boulder World Cup on May 21-22, 2021. The Boulder and Speed World Cup originally scheduled for June 11-13 has been rescheduled for May 28 to 30.

USA Climbing will also partner with the IFSC to conduct judges and routesetter training between the two competitions.

The announcement also comes three weeks after USA Climbing announced that it will be hosting an IFSC Paraclimbing World Cup in 2021.

"We are honored to host back to back IFSC World Cups in 2021," said John Muse, VP of Sport. "With reduced travel, this serves our international community of climbers well and we are excited to host the world in our beautiful home of Salt Lake City."
