USA Climbing Statement Regarding Racism

USA Climbing stands in support of those suffering from systemic racism and injustice in this country. We are saddened and angered by the tragic deaths of George Floyd, Ahmaud Arbery, Breonna Taylor, and the countless other black lives lost. Words, hashtags, and public statements are simply not enough. We as an organization, sport, and community need to and can do better.

Now more than ever USA Climbing looks to be a part of the solution. We know it will not be easy and that it will not happen overnight, we know there is so much we need to learn to stop the cycle of racism and bias within our communities and our sport, we know that we will surely make mistakes along the way, but we also know we must do something. To those interested in making our sport the best it can be, we welcome you and encourage active and thorough discussion that leads to actions in breaking the cycle of racism in all of its forms. USA Climbing is steadfastly committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion in our sport just as we should expect of our community and our country.
