USA Climbing Forms New High Performance Division

USA Climbing announced today the formation of a new High Performance Division to be led by John Muse, former Director Of Operations for USA Climbing. In addition to John, USA Climbing has also hired Josh Larson as National Team Head Coach / Routesetter and Meg Coyne as National Team Manager / Assistant Coach.

“We have a big mountain to climb by comparison to other National Federations that made this transition sooner than us, but I’m confident that our High Performance Team is up for the challenge and will be successful at our approach” said John Muse, USA Climbing’s High Performance Director.  “While efforts will surely be focused toward the goal of getting athletes to the Olympics, it’s also important that we bridge the gap between High Performance and the developing athlete.  USA Climbing is entering into a new era with the activation of a High Performance Division, but let us not forget all the ground work that was laid to get us to this point.  Your continued support will be a corner stone to our success moving forward.”

Over the coming weeks, USA Climbing will use this opportunity to evaluate the organization’s structure going forward.
