Regional Championships

Below is the final list of Sport & Speed Youth Regional Championship registrants as of May 1st, 2019, in alphabetical order by last name.  If your name is not on this list, you are not currently registered for Regionals.  It is important to note that although competitors appearing on this list have registered for regionals, their eligibility has not yet been verified and therefore a competitor on this list will be contacted and their registration refunded if they have not met the eligibility requirements necessary to compete in the 2019 USA Climbing: Sport & Speed Youth Regional Championships.

Sport & Speed Youth Regionals Final Registrant List

If your name is not on this list, you have missed the registration deadline to compete in the Sport & Speed Youth Regional Championships but have an additional twenty-four (24) hours to register for the competition for an additional $50 late fee.

Registration for Regionals will officially close on May 2nd at 4:00 p.m. MST and USA Climbing will NOT accept any late or missed registration appeals if a competitor fails to register by this second registration deadline.

This year, Sport & Speed Regional Championships will be split over two weekends, May 11th – 12th and May 18th – 19th.

Sport & Speed Youth Regional Championships are open only to USA Climbing Competitor Members who:

  • hold a current USA Climbing Competitor membership, AND
  • have competed in a minimum of, and received credit for, two Local competitions as a USA Climbing Competitor Member or USA Climbing Introductory Member
  • ranked in the top twenty (20) in at least one USAC Youth Local competition, where any extra quota competitors (World and/or Pan American Champions, competitors with a bye to Youth Regionals or non-U.S. citizen competitors) shall not be included in the top twenty (20).
  • met all registration requirements and/or deadlines
  • or have a Bye to the event

The Top 20 requirement will not apply to Region 701 due to there being less than four locals scheduled in the Region. See Rule 3.9.1.

The two-competition minimum participation requirement will be waived for competitors that wish to compete in SPEED ONLY.
