Collegiate Climbing Ambassador Scholarship
The Collegiate Climbing Ambassador Scholarship is an opportunity for students involved in competitive climbing at the collegiate level to demonstrate how they have become an ambassador for the sport through their involvement in both climbing and academics.
Applicants must be a current USA Climbing collegiate member and previous winners cannot win again. To be considered applicants must submit a resume and an essay describing:
- What does collegiate climbing mean to you?
- What impact has climbing had on your college experience overall?
- What are you doing to help grow collegiate climbing?
- What you are doing or have done to give back to the climbing community at large?
- How have you helped promote inclusion in the sport of climbing?
Each applicant will be graded by the following rubric, found here. The scholarship recipients are chosen by a panel of individuals active in the Collegiate Climbing Community. Recent panelists include past scholarship recipients, Divisional Coordinators, fellow competitors, USA Climbing Staff, and the Collegiate Climbing Steering Committee. After reading the application, each panelist will give the application a score.
We will be awarding $3,000 in scholarships: first place, $1,250, second place, $1,000, and third place $750.
Applications will be due on April 5th and must be submitted to email@example.com

Winners will be announced during the Collegiate Climbing National Championship Awards Ceremony.
All of the scholarship recipients over the past four seasons exemplify what it means to be a climber, a student athlete, and ambassador for the sport.
