Collegiate Climbing Ambassador Scholarship

The Collegiate Climbing Ambassador Scholarship is an opportunity for students involved in competitive climbing at the collegiate level to demonstrate how they have become an ambassador for the sport through their involvement in both climbing and academics.

Applicants must submit an academic resume and an essay describing:
  • What climbing at the collegiate level means to you personally and the impact it
    had on your college experience overall.
  • What you are doing to help grow the sport of competition climbing.
  • What you are doing or have done to give back to the climbing community at large.

The application period for the 2020 Collegiate Climbing Ambassador Scholarship has closed. 

Winners will be announced during the Collegiate Climbing National Championship
Awards Ceremony. Individuals do not need to be present to win.

USA Climbing will be awarding $3,000 in scholarships. One male and one female applicant will receive a $1000 scholarship and one male and one female applicant will receive win a $500 scholarship. The scholarship recipients are chosen by a panel of individuals active in the Collegiate Climbing Community. Recent panelists include: past scholarship recipients, Regional Coordinators, fellow competitors, USA Climbing Staff, and the Collegiate Climbing Steering Committee.

All of the scholarship recipients over the past four seasons exemplify what it means to be a climber, a student athlete, and ambassador for the sport.
